Schwarzenberghütte on the Sonnwendstein at 1007 m altitude

Our Schwarzenberghütte am Sonnwendstein is a former ski hut at an altitude of 1007 m. It is surrounded by nature without neighbors and is a perfect place to relax and hike. The ice cold tap water comes directly from the source. Here you can heat and cook with wood. Solar power and fast Wi-Fi via satellites are available at the touch of a button for those who want to connect to the outside world. The cabin is accessible on foot or by car via a gravel road. The space You must bring your own sleeping bags! The beds are covered with fitted sheets and there is a soft cushion for everyone. There are two solar-powered power storage units and fast Wi-Fi at the touch of a button. The cabin has a total of 100 m² of living space, divided into two levels. Level 1 is a 50 m² room with a kitchen, a dining table for 9 people and a very comfortable lounger for 5 people. The bed is 2 m x 5 m and is equipped with soft mattresses. Level 2: There is a toilet with sink (cold water only) and a 30 m² room with wood stove, a hammock, two single beds and a bed 140 cm x 200 cm. On level 1 there is also a shower and a hand basin that provides warm water heated via an instantaneous water heater. There is also a 2nd toilet here. The kitchen is fully equipped, there is a wok, various pans and pots, a hand mixer and everything you need for cooking and baking. You can cool the food in a small refrigerator or in the large water basin of the spring in front of the cabin. A grill is available with grill tools. Coffee lovers can choose between a Nespresso coffee machine / French press or a classic Bialetti ;) In the evening, solar lights and battery-powered fairy lights or simple candles provide enough light and create a cozy atmosphere. A ping pong table including rackets are at your disposal. Next to the hut is the old lift building, which is not included in the rental price! It is only partially renovated and will only be ready from about 2026. You can drive from Maria Schutz by car via the forest road and park in front of the hut. Travel time is about 10 minutes. Loud music is not allowed out of respect for the animals. Campfires are not allowed 🚫 A grill is available! Other things to note In Schottwien there is a small supermarket, Adeg. The journey there is about 20 minutes. It is best to get everything you need in advance !!! In Gloggnitz you will find all the major well-known supermarkets / pharmacies etc. about 30 minutes by car from the hut. If you want to arrive by public transport, you have the option to take the train to Gloggnitz and then the bus to Maria Schutz. From Maria Schutz, a gravel road leads to the hut. Always follow the signs for Sonnwendstein / Pollereshütte. Walking time is about 1 hour. Loud music is not allowed out of respect for animals and nature. Campfires are not allowed 🚫 A barbecue is available! Only dispose of cigarettes in the ashtray!!
