The studio is detached but in the same grounds as our house. It has its own private entrance and parking. You enter via the fully fitted and equipped kitchen: dishwasher, fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave, induction hob, electric fan oven, kettle, toaster, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, and glassware. From the kitchen you then enter the open-plan lounge/bedroom where there is a king sized bed with feather and down duvet and pillows and white bed linen and towels. The space Detached studio with magnificent, uninterrupted views through the huge picture window, across the sea to the Trottenish Ridge. Situated on the quiet and sought after Waternish peninsula, boasting the oldest pub on Skye and the Michelin starred, Lochbay Restaurant, this contemporary studio is perfect for a romantic getaway with walks right from the front door. The light and airy studio with a wood burning stove is a cosy year-round space with the luxury holiday experience in mind. Guest access There is off-road parking next to the studio. The studio has a small seating area next to it. Guests have full access to the seven acre croft which stretches from the hill behind the studio down to the sea cliffs at the front of the studio. Other things to note The minimum stay is usually 4 nights but in the summer it is 7 nights. Eating out There are two places to eat in Stein, an old fishing village on the scenic north-west corner of the Waternish peninsula, which is four miles away from the house. Taxis are available but would need to be booked in advance. We can advise you. The Stein Inn is the oldest pub on Skye and serves simple Scottish food. Booking is recommended. Loch Bay Restaurant is a contemporary Scottish restaurant with classic French influences brought to you by Chef Patron Michael Smith, his wife Laurence and front of house team led by Graeme Creamer. The restaurant is based in Stein. This restaurant is Michelin-starred so booking is usually essential. There are of course other places to eat a little further afield such as The Three Chimneys, Edinbane Lodge and The Old School Restaurant to name but a few. Wi-Fi: Your Wi-Fi is for your own use and separate from our house. It is free. It is full fibre to the studio with an estimated download speed of 50 Mbps. Gym and exercise: Your host, Catherine runs a personal and group training business called Skye Wellbeing. If you want to join in one of my circuits classes in the local community hall or have a personal training session with me in my gym which is adjacent to the studio just ask for details when you book. For insurance reasons guests will be unable to use the gym unsupervised and a pre-exercise screening form will need to be completed before attending a class or having a personal training session.
