The space 20 km from Rishikesh, perched on a ridge in the forests of Narendra Nagar, Sakalana right next door to the Westin Rishikesh. Yugm Homes is a two-floor mountain homestay that feels like stepping into an enchanted forest. The property is surrounded by ancient trees, misty forest paths, and glowing lanterns that sway gently in the mountain breeze. Wide, sunlit verandas on each floor open up to sweeping mountain and valley views your front-row seat to the Himalayas, morning and evening. Spread across two floors with two rooms on each floor, the home is designed for couples, families, or small groups of friends who want space, privacy, and nature- all in one place. SLEEPING & LIVING Each room is warm, aesthetic, and thoughtfully curated- with soft linens, earthy décor, pampas grass, and candlelight that turns every evening into something cinematic. Every room has a private attached washroom, and each floor has a fully equipped kitchen- so you can cook your own meals, brew your morning chai, or simply feel at home in the mountains. Guest access IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE BOOKING As magical as Yugm Homes is, staying in a forest homestay in the Himalayas comes with expected 'joys' and a few honest truths. 1) Getting Here The property is accessible by personal car or cab. Public transport is not available. Plan your travel in advance the road is scenic and worth every minute. Distance from key points: • 20 km from Rishikesh (same road as Westin Rishikesh) • 30 km from Jolly Grant Airport • Close to the Kunjapuri Trek trail 2) Wildlife & Forest Living Yugm Homes sits in a real forest. We coexist with nature here. Don't be surprised if you spot bugs, spiders, insects, or the occasional curious creature they were here first, and we respect that. The forest is also home to birds, barking deer, and more. Keep your eyes open every sighting is a gift. 3) Food Yugm Homes has fully equipped kitchens on both floors for self-cooking- cookware, crockery, induction/gas stove, and Kent RO drinking water are all provided. We have also kept menus from nearby restaurants who offer food delivery to the property so you're covered even when you don't want to cook. 4) Electricity We have inverter backup for unplanned power cuts, so your stay remains comfortable. In the rare event of an extended outage, the candles come out and honestly, some of the best evenings happen that way. 5) Water Kent RO purifiers are installed in the kitchens on both floors for clean drinking water at all times. Hot water is available via geyser. 6) Wi-Fi Yes, we have Wi-Fi! Though we do recommend putting the phone down every now and then the mountains have a way of making everything else seem less urgent. 7) Bonfire Bonfires are available as a payable add-on. Please confirm with hosts beforehand. 8) Weather Carry layers it gets cool in the evenings and cold at night. We provide duvets and extra blankets. 9) No Plastic We are a nature-first property. Please carry back any plastic you bring along. Leave only footprints. SENSES AT YUGM HOMES Touch: Feel the cool mountain breeze from the veranda.
