Llama walks and alpaca feeding experiences can be arranged with the hosts. The space Chandelle Park is located just 3 minutes from the township of Exeter, making it easy to pick up anything you need during your stay. Exeter has a range of convenient local shops including a supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, cafés, takeaway food, service station and other everyday services, so you are never far from supplies. The property sits in the heart of the Tamar Valley, one of Tasmania’s most beautiful and well-known wine regions. The valley is home to many excellent wineries and cellar doors, where visitors can enjoy tastings, relaxed lunches and stunning views across vineyards and the Tamar River. There are also many attractions nearby. The Tamar Valley Wine Route, scenic riverside drives, walking tracks and lookouts make the area perfect for exploring at your own pace. The Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre, local markets, historic towns and the riverside areas around the Tamar are all popular places to visit. For a larger town experience, Launceston is about 25 minutes away, offering restaurants, shopping, parks and attractions such as the beautiful Cataract Gorge Reserve. Whether you feel like exploring wineries, enjoying a country drive, or simply relaxing on the farm, Guest access Guests are welcome to explore the property, including the bushland walking tracks and the Animal Experience observation area. Please respect all signs and do not enter private or restricted areas. This includes the areas around the main house and the residency at The Cottage. During your stay Guests are welcome to book an optional Animal Experience during their stay, subject to availability, weather and animal welfare needs. This can include feeding the llamas and alpacas, meeting the animals up close, and learning a little about camelids and life on the property. Guests may also book a guided llama walk through the bushland tracks. Please arrange this with the hosts ahead of time so we can confirm a suitable time and make sure the animals are comfortable and ready.
