That said, there's plenty to do nearby: water sports at Bodiam Boating Station (kayaking, paddleboarding and rowing boats, five minutes by car), the Kent & East Sussex Railway, Rye and Camber Sands both within 20 minutes, and a wealth of National Trust properties within easy reach.
