Lodging Mooie Marijke: Unique in the heart of Friesland!

Welcome! Special overnight stay in a unique place where PEACE, SPACE, NATURE can rightly be written in capital letters! Oranjewoud is centrally located in Friesland and is a great base to discover Friesland, the Frisian 11 cities, Frisian lakes, Wadden Islands, etc. And a wonderful place for cyclists, hikers and runners. The accommodation has everything you need for a pleasant stay! Schaatstempel Thialf and the Abe Lenstra stadium are 10 minutes away by bike. The space We live in a rural "cottage" with adjoining lodging with a cozy bedroom/living room (with pellet stove and air conditioning), modern bathroom and cozy kitchen equipped with all facilities. It is also possible to work here with plenty of daylight. Sounds come mainly from horses and birds. Our house is in a park landscape that is only accessible by motor vehicle for local traffic. How nice it is not to hear (traffic) noise for once! There is a lot to do and is especially an ideal starting point for hikers, runners and cyclists (with space and possibility to charge an electric bicycle). But it is also a wonderful place to just do nothing and enjoy. Centrally located in Friesland and from the highways/Heerenveen station within 10 minutes! Schaatstempel Thialf is 10 minutes away by bicycle. Guest access It is nice that you have your own entrance. At the front of the Logement is a covered veranda where you can sit sheltered and which you can heat with an electric heater. At the back is a sunny outdoor terrace. Other things to note We live in a rural area with associated sounds and presence of desired and less desired animals! People with a spider phobia may not feel at home here in the summer period.
