A secluded off-grid reatreat complete with woodfired hot tub, BBQ area, fire pit, a compost toliet and stunning views! Sharing an old quarry with a Gypsy Caravan, it’s the ultimate place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the National Park. The space Our Yurt has been lovingly designed to be both beautiful and practical. In the middle of the Yurt is a kings size bed and round the sides is a bistro set, dresser and drawers, a butchers block for everything kitchen related and of course a windy smithy woodburning stove. The power is provided by solar panels and there are four USB ports which you can use. Immediately outside the Yurt is a woodchipped area. There is a fire pit, water tap, bistro set and also a covered BBQ area for cooking at. The compost toilet is a short walk away which is lit with solar powered fairy lights at night time. The Yurt is situated inside of an old hill called Parks Howe. This was quarried out in the late 1800s for stone for the local roads and thus created a large hole with no occupants but the rabbits! The views from the hill are spectacular and you can see both ways up and down the Esk Valley as well as overlooking the moors. The showers are a five minute walk away across the field at the farms campsite. We do have hot water at a sink next to the compost toilet. Guest access Guests park at the farm house a 5 minute walk away. I can take your luggage across to the Yurt in our buggy!
