The space 🍁🔥🍂🎃 Cozy autumn decoration 🎃🍂🔥🍁 🎅🤶From the beginning of December to the second week of January in Christmas atmosphere 🤶🎅 The Witakker is decorated in a cozy, homely atmosphere with old Frisian utensils as decoration. The corridors have remained authentic with old school plates and terms of use on the wall. Many of you will still recognize these. The outdoor area features a large veranda. The borders are planted with permanent native plants, which provides a lot of greenery and privacy. A good conversation by the fireplace, playing a board game at a round table or having a drink at the bar are all among the possibilities. Kitchen The professionally equipped kitchen is very suitable for self-catering. It is equipped with a dishwasher, 6 electric hobs, a freezer and large refrigerator, an oven and microwave. Adjacent is the buffet room. There is a coffee maker and a (professional bean) coffee machine available (at an additional cost). Under the porch is the outdoor kitchen, with professional gas barbecue and plenty of buffet space. The rooms on the first floor have air conditioning, and all rooms have screens (mosquito nets and blinds). BUSINESS MULTI-DAY An inspiring meeting is best enjoyed in a special, authentic and small-scale ambiance, and that is what the Witakker offers. The former school building was sustainably converted in 2020 into an original accommodation with a wide variety of facilities, spacious in design, located in a quiet, water and wooded area. Ideal meeting point for a multi-day meeting, team building, training or away day. In good consultation, check-in from 8:00 a.m. and check-out at 5:00 p.m. is possible. Meeting rooms and conference rooms When the accommodation was built, a lot of attention was paid to the routing and needs of the different rooms. The result is a spacious location equipped with all modern facilities, which makes the stay very comfortable. There are 4 flexible training, meeting and leisure spaces, so there is always a suitable space for a workshop or partial assignments. In fine weather, you can have meetings with singing birds in the background and your feet in the grass. For business overnight stays, we always assume one person per bedroom. If several people stay in one bedroom, we separate Hotel box spring beds so that there is space between the beds. A suitable stay for every budget, standard offered 'business overnight basic' an upgrade to 'business overnight comfort'; including made-up beds, extensive hygiene package and towels at an additional cost. STAYING WITH CHILDREN The Witakker is very suitable for stays with children. The house has plenty of room for movement, various play and sports facilities. For example, there is a chill game room, game cabinet and playroom for the little ones. In addition, you can use the sports hall located in the building (in consultation, for a cleaning and energy fee). To be used by appointment between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Wood burning stove When using the fireplace, we always charge the starter package of €30. Starter package consists of; approx. 60 liters of FSC certified firewood ash and oak, kindling, kindling blocks and matches. (incl. cleaning). If you use more than 60 liters of firewood, we charge €8.50 per box of approx. 30 liters. (In practice, usually sufficient for 60 liters of firewood). A contribution of the aforementioned prices goes to It Fryske Gea, who plant new trees in the immediate vicinity of Rijs! Pets One pet is allowed, multiple pets are in consultation. Other things to note The vacation home is located on more than half a hectare of private land! Lots of privacy and space in the house and around the house. The Witakker is located on the recreation cluster "Mooi Gaasterland," which has advantages in the sense of a lot of choice in restaurants and eateries. The adjacent plots are different homes, campsites, hotels and vacation homes, so you should be mindful of each other. The accommodation is within the built-up area of Rijs, not a party location with music. Between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m., the night rest period applies, then it is quiet outside. Terrace (veranda) can be used until 10 p.m. (municipal permit - winter period).
