Adam Cottage is a newly renovated 3 bedroom detached cottage situated in the heart of the west mainland. With this brilliant central location your only a stones throw away from Neolithic Orkney, Skara Brae, Maeshowe, Ring of Brodgar, Standing Stones of Stenness and the Broch of Birsay. Kirkwall - 14 miles Stromness - 9 miles Stones of Stenness - 8 miles Ring of Brodgar - 7 miles Broch of Birsay 7 miles Maeshowe - 6 miles Skara Brae - 5 miles The space Adam Cottage lay derelict for many years (1994-2019) until myself and Katie started renovation works in 2016, The whole renovation was carried out by ourselves in our spare time over 2 and a half years, we tried to keep as many of the original characteristics as we could to retain its beauty and for you to enjoy. Adam Cottage benefits from 100% energy efficient lighting and a mcs accredited eco friendly heating system. (Mitsubishi ecodan air to water). The main large open plan dining and kitchen area has a wonderful homely feel with Range cooker, solid oak furniture and a double sided wood burning stove. Relax and unwind in our front porch with unrestricted views over Harray Loch with Hoy hills in the background. Sit back in the living room on large comfy sofas with a few logs on the fire and a glass of your favourite Orkney tipple. There really is no better place to relax. Adam Cottage caters for everyone, with a purpose built outdoor drying room suitable for all your outdoor gear, also temperature controlled kennel if you wish to take your four legged friend along to enjoy Orkney. Kitchen, dining area - very well equipped with all cookware, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, range cooker, wood burning stove, oak furniture, dining table and 6 chairs. Front porch - small leather seating area, hand made oak tables, coat hooks and beautiful views over Harray loch with the Hoy hills in the background All bedding and towels will be supplied for all guests. Guest access Guests have unrestricted access to the whole cottage. including a large well maintained garden. There is a private driveway with parking to the rear of the property. Other things to note At Adam Cottage we allow a well behaved dog in pet friendly areas and the temperature controlled drying room. Any additional dogs will be by prior arrangement only.
