Laundry room .2 🐕 max £50 per pet per stay ( per wk long stays) The space The Walnut Wing cottage is small cosy and comfortable cottage with beautiful views& direct access to walks The surroundings are quiet in the village of Paxford- historically this cottage was part of a farmhouse ** Please do not confuse with Walnut Cottage ! There is a very small kitchen (please note our cottages are self catering ) with table and seating for those who want to eat in. RECYCLING we’d be grateful if guests took advantage of our special recycling area which is for our guests ( instructions in kitchen) Although attached to the main house this cottage is completely self contained . There are two bedrooms a twin (or superking )and double. One large walk- in shower room and toilet upstairs and 2nd toilet & basin downstairs use of shared laundry room * washing machine clothes rack & dryer and small deep freeze - separate entrances to laundry room - guest and host The cottage includes a sitting room/lounge open log fire - initial large basket logs etc supplied and there is a new large smart TV A new enclosed terrace has a fountain and views over a lovely garden . *Please note the back garden is for private use only There are some carpeted steps and stairs with railing on one side and a small hallway leading from the front door leading to the kitchen stairs laundry and sittingroom Guests have Direct access from front garden to fields / woods for relaxing walks Our cottage is furnished traditionally and there is garden furniture and a parasol On making a reservation I send guests information re places of interest to visit - pubs and restaurants - and Tips for short stays if requested We clean the cottage thoroughly between lettings PARKING We would appreciate guests parking neatly to allow for maximum use of space- Thank you ***TWO EXTRA Guests can be accommodated in fully equipped The Studio 30 yards away - please enquire if interested Please note that the tennis court is shared with other guests Racquets and balls provided ! Guest access This cottage is not suitable for physically disabled guests although the stairs are normal width and gradient with railings on one side - there are some carpeted steps **We have another cottage which accommodates 6/8 including a DISABLED SUITE - please enquire if of interest There is OFF ROAD PARKING by the main house and a gate near the cottage terrace which leads straight to pretty walks. Cars can be parked in front of the green garage gates which are not in use. COTTAGE IS SELF CHECKIN after 3 pm and checkout by 10 am Please Pets £50per pet per stay ( please say if you’re bringing pets ) Terrace is enclosed Walks from kissing gate in hedge on right The kitchen is properly equipped with cooker fridge microwave electric kettle and toaster cutlery plate cups glass etc. Small deep freeze in laundry room. The laundry room with washing machine basin and drier is shared ( with us) and has a separate entrance for us/ please inform us if you need to use RECYCLING AREA - diagram on Checkin photos & listing photos Thank you Jill There is security lighting in carpark and to cottage front door along front of main house Our tennis court is available (free) racquets and balls provided which are in seat by court or in our back glass entrance hall. We and our family use the back garden and would ask our guests to respect our privacy here. Your enclosed terrace with fountain has garden furniture and a parasol and you have the use of the front garden ( not fully enclosed) ACCESS To access Walnut Wing Cottage please walk down FRONT of main house facing the village road - terrace has a fountain & front door clearly labelled Other things to note Children should be able to manage steps and stairs This cottage is not suitable for those who are very frail Beds made up and towels supplied A car is essential as can be difficult to get taxis unless ordered in advance Please note that it’s virtually impossible to keep an old Cotswold cottage with open fire and exposed stone dust free especially when it’s windy however the cottage is expertly cleaned between guests Your understanding will be much appreciated Re EARLY CHECKIN AND LATER CHECKOUTS We charge £10 per hour if it’s possible outside our hours Please confirm if you need this ?
