Annies House

Annie's house is a charming and modernized skipper's house from 1825 with an idyllic and completely private courtyard located in the most attractive part of Marstal, close to the beach and harbour. To the house belongs our blue bathhouse on the beach, which can be rented by arrangement with the owner. The space The ground floor includes a fully equipped open plan kitchen and a practical utility room, 5 beds spread over 2 bedrooms. One bedroom with a double bed and small work desk for e.g. a PC, the other bedroom with a bunk bed and a single bed. In between the bedrooms there is a spacious bathroom with a shower. The first floor consists of a large, bright room with high ceilings, 3 single beds and a brand new and nice bathroom. Feel free to bring your own linen and towels for your own use. There are duvets and pillows for 8 people. If you instead want to rent linen and towels ( 1 large and 1 small ), this can be rented for DKK 125 per person which is paid in cash to the caretaker on arrival. Tea towels and dish cloths are available in the house and are included in the rent. Private patio and “cords” “Annie's house” has a fairly secluded and charming courtyard with an closest southern vibe. There is a dining area for 8 people, a small lawn surrounded by beautiful plants and a favorite barbecue area in front of the small tavern in the backyard. For guests with a dog and cat and small children, the garden is fully fenced. In the plank at the end of the garden is a door that leads out to a very special 200 year old trail system, also called “the cords”, small narrow shortcuts that “wind” between the marshal's houses' backyards and give an experience of entering the idyllic gardens. The “cords” were originally small access roads from the harbour to the city, and the small skipper's houses were built with the backyards along the paths. Guest access When you arrive at "Annie's house", you enter the small hallway by the trash cans. Here you will find the lockbox next to the back door. While unloading, you can park briefly on the narrow road just outside the house. Parking is recommended about 100 meters away, at the Baltic Sea home, Gasverksvej 10 or possibly down by the harbor. Walking distance from Annie's house is the harbor and beach and the entire center of Marstal, pedestrian street with specialty shops, clothing stores, restaurants and cafes. At the end of the pedestrian street is the big Superbrugs with a rich selection! On Ærø there is a free bus, Jesper Bus, which runs between Ærøskøbing and Marstal. The 4 bicycles in "Annie's house" can be borrowed freely - for longer bike trips, we recommend renting bicycles from Hansen bicycles, Vestergade 7. If you are into water sports, you can rent kayaks and paddle-boards at the beach on "Erik's tail". For the children there are two large attractive playgrounds by the marina as well as a larger lawn for ball games. Tourist riding: Ærø Equestrian Club offers year-round tourist riding in scenic areas .
