Cloud Cottage is located on Voogsekraal estate. The estate stretches along the mountainous and truly breathtaking Prince Alfred Pass. The estate forms part of the Outeniqua Mountains. This means exquisite views, waterfalls and walks.  The cottage is nestled into the hillside, amidst rockery and fynbos. With no neighbouring farms, cell reception, nor electricity, one is able to experience a true getaway. The space The estate was, up until recently, a family-run bio-dynamic dairy farm. With the hustle and bustle of farming activity coming to a halt, the land is now utilised solely for relaxation and restoration. Clean, well-behaved dogs that do not sleep on the beds, are welcome. Guest access The estate is located on the Prince Alfred Pass. It is quite a steep road, so drive slowly. Hoot as a precaution, as you drive around corners, because the road is very narrow. Other things to note There is no electricity nor cell reception. Wood, firelighters and matches are provided. There is a donkey and a fire can be made in it, to heat water for the bath and kitchen sink. There are candles, paraffin lamps and provided. A head torch is a useful thing to bring along! A steep scramble down the hillside leads you to a little rockpool to swim in. A longer walk along the hill, leads you to a series of small pools and trickling waterfalls.
