Between Toulouse and Albi, lands of Occitania with a singing accent, lies a meadow where humans and animals finally find peace. Here in Puybegon, time settles, eyes calm and life resumes its natural rhythm. Welcome to our refuge in the heart of the Tarn, located 50 minutes from Toulouse and 30 minutes from Albi. The space . Housed at Laura's home, your Homnest host, the refuge has all the amenities in 10 square meters perfectly optimized for an immersion in nature: NIGHT AREA * A queen size bed 160x200 cm (2 adults) with XL panoramic views of the surrounding nature * Ceiling fan to cool off (no air conditioning) * Shades * Bed made on arrival * Heating (gas stove) DINING AREA/ LOUNGE * Insulated cooler to store your food in the cool * Electric hot water kettle (coffee, tea, soup, etc.) * Dishes, silverware, utensils and condiments * Sink with water reserve to do dishes, wash hands, etc. * Drinking water via an 8-liter fountain * Small table and stools Note: There is no cooking or heating food in the space. Our guests prioritize meals such as salads and sandwiches or the on-site catering offered by your host SHOWER AREA/ WC * Summer walk-in shower with hot water * Eco-friendly toilet (dry toilet) * Towels and eco-friendly shower gel provided Note: the shower is open only during the summer, usually from +/- April 1 to +/- October 31. Dates vary from year to year. Below is the current status of the shower, as of today Shower Status: OPEN ✅ When the shower is closed, the sink inside the unit allows you to briefly wash your toilet with gloves, soap, and cold water BUT ALSO: * Outdoor furniture (except winter period): table, chairs & Chilean (no barbecue) * Housekeeping included * Free parking For catering, at an additional cost and with a reservation at least 48 hours before your stay (then subject to availability after this period), your hosts offer: - Breakfast (€12 per person) - Aperitif board (€19 per board) - Local wines (variable price per bottle) GOOD TO KNOW: The refuge is installed in nature and fully self-contained: electricity is produced by solar panels, heating runs on gas and running water is stored in a tank. You have all the usual comforts, but the idea of an alternative habitat is also to become aware of its impact on the environment! As a result, a few rules are required during your stay: 1) Except phones and laptops, electrical appliances other than those provided on site should not be connected at the risk of damaging the solar system. It is therefore not possible to use, for example, your hair dryer, a straightening iron or a raclette machine 2) The risk of fire being very high in nature, it is strictly forbidden to smoke in and around the shelter, but also to light any flame (no barbecue) 3) Sewage is filtered by plants: you are asked to use only the 100% natural products provided (shower gel, dish soap) 4) No pets allowed in the shelter Guest access . Check-in: from 4 p.m. Check-out: before 10 a.m. Key box available in case of late arrival You have a free space to park your vehicle, close to the refuge Other things to note . The shelter is set on the grounds of your host Laura, who lives on site with his family. You may therefore come across them during your stay, as well as their animals There's no wifi in the listing The entrance to the refuge is not on one level, it has a small staircase of 3 steps.
