Luxury Yurt in woodland near Alton Towers.

This is our Luxury Yurt. It is the best in glamping. Situated down our field It is light, airy and spacious, laid on decking and is fully carpeted and insulated, so cosy yourself in front of the log burner. The Yurt is surrounded by woodland and fields, it has a separate kitchen with hot water and a next door shared shower and toilet. Relax around the fire pit or lie in bed listening to the owls. Instantly relax in our yurt whilst enjoying the nature around you. The space Our Yurt is set on our farm which is in the centre of Dimmingsdale, check out our other accommodation, Pod, Lodge. Dimmingsdale is a beautiful woodland area with access to hundreds of paths and tracks leading to fishing lakes, a fantastic tea room and a lovely 40 minute walk down beautiful tracks to 4 pubs. We are 15 minutes drive from Alton Towers and a 40 minute walk along the beautiful old earl of Shrewsbury horse and carriage route. Walking is not only beautiful it will save you money on car parking and traffic queues. The Peak district is 20 minutes away by car and will offer you some fantastic walking and quaint stone villages. The wonderful stately homes of Chatsworth house and Haddon Hall are about 40 minutes drive away. On our farm you will find rare breed sheep, horses chickens and dogs. The Yurt is set down the field and is very secluded with a feeling of really getting away from it all. Next door to the yurt you have a private hot shower and a toilet. The Yurt is equipped in the separate private kitchen with a Gas hob, a sink with hot and cold running water and outside is a separate private fire pit with grill for cooking on the fire. There is a cool box with ice blocks included to keep everything cold. We provide some logs for the log burner and sell logs for your fire pit at £17.50 a bag. The Yurt is fully equipped with pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. To entertain you we provide a selection of board games. The Yurt has a very comfortable double bed and is best suited for only 2 guests, however if you would like to bring your children then we can provide a mattress on the floor of the Yurt or they can camp in a next door tent provided. A travel cot is provided on request, but please bring babies bedding. If its a special occasion you can request champagne on ice delivered to your door. 100% cotton bedding is provided and Egyptian 100% Cotton bath towels. We also provide Pure Lakes 100% natural toiletries. Wifi is available in the garden around the house. Please come and experience the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful area. Guest access You can enjoy the fields around our farm and toast marshmallows on the fire pit. Other things to note The roads are very narrow on the approach to our farm and Sat Nav's will not bring you here so you must follow the directions sent and not rely on last minute phone signal Please enter in to Google maps Dimmingsdale Woodside lodge and google maps will bring you to the door. We will supply a trolley to carry your luggage down the field. The lighting for the Yurt is on solar so there is no charging for laptops etc unless you drop it at the house. We will lend you a battery pack for your phone. We are very rural and Taxis may not find us so please contact Sally if you would like to book a taxi or ask them to follow google maps.
