Approached by a sweeping private driveway, Great Barn forms part of a small complex of converted Norfolk barns. The barn has lots of traditional features - exposed beams, timbers and interior brick walling - as well as all the mod cons and creature comforts to create a very comfortable and well-equipped holiday property. There is a large wood burning stove and modern wall mounted heaters in each room to ensure your stay is warm and cosy. Three bedrooms and two modern bathrooms plus a downstairs cloakroom will suit families or couples looking to enjoy a rural break close to many places of interest. The icing on the cake for many, guests are invited to enjoy use of a superb, spacious games room fitted out with a snooker table, table tennis, and table football. Popular with guests of all ages is the heated indoor swimming pool, with private slots bookable. There are miles of quiet back lanes to explore by bike or on foot,where you will hardly pass any traffic. With the beautiful North Norfolk coast only a twenty minute drive away and the lively market town of Fakenham just three miles away, there really is plenty on offer for all ages at any time of year. The swimming pool is a shared facility, there is a diary in the Games Room for guests to book time slots (please bring your own towels). Guest access Ground Floor: The entrance to the barn is through a shared courtyard to the rear of the Sports Hall building. There is a Great Barn wall sign to the side of the glazed entrance door Open-plan living area: Sitting / dining area A dual aspect room with fully glazed windows, making a very light and airy space with views over the entrance courtyard and across open fields to the rear. There is a farmhouse style table with bench seating for six, and a roomy curved sofa facing towards the wood burning stove with wide screen television with Freesat and DVD player. Books, games and DVDs on offer for cosy nights in. Kitchen area With an electric cooker, two ring induction job, combination microwave, microwave steriliser and large freestanding fridge freezer. A feature island houses cooking utensils and has a small breakfast bar to one side with two stools for an alternative dining area. Cloakroom With wash basin and WC. First Floor: Master bedroom An attractive room with exposed brick and timbers, vaulted ceiling and rustic four-poster king-size bed. En-suite shower room With double shower cubicle, contemporary wide wash basin, WC and towel rail. Twin room Exposed brick and timbers add character to this twin room (adult size beds). Low level windows look over open countryside to the rear. Bunk room Exposed brick and timbers, with full size bunk beds and window overlooking courtyard area. Family bathroom Fully tiled room with roll top bath with wall mounted mixer tap, contemporary wash basin and WC. Towel rail. Outside: There is a small seating area immediately outside the barn in the enclosed communal flagged courtyard with a table and seating for six guests. A large grassed area, available for use by all barn residents is an ideal place to make the most of a sunny afternoon and enjoy a lazy picnic. An indoor swimming pool is available for you and all barn residents. The washing machine and tumble dryer are located in here too.
