Cozy guesthouse on island near Stockholm City

Uniquely close to Stockholm city center you find STORHOLMEN, a calm and completely car-free island in the archipelago, 45 min by public transport (subway and ferry). The perfect place if you want to combine a big city holiday with a lovely archipelago stay. Storholmen offers several spots for bathing and fishing, a small beach, cliffs and jetties. There is also a nice seaside restaurant. The guesthouse is cozy and well-planned, ideal for two people or for a small family. The space STORHOLMEN The island, Storholmen, is located in "Lilla Värtan" near Lidingö. The only way to get there is by boat, public commuter ferry or your own privat boat. Travel time (by ferry) from Storholmen to Ropsten metro station is 30 min. Ropsten metro is 3 stops from Stockholm City Center. THE GUESTHOUSE The guesthouse has one large room, with a comfortable double sofa bed, very easy to fold out. It has a small fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. Outside you have your own private part of a garden and a patio with a lovely garden view. BATHING, FISHING... There are several bathing spots nearby the house, cliffs, jetties and a nice beach (10 min walk). The nearest cliff, for bathing, fishing or just to sit and enjoy a beautiful view, is 2 min from the house. FOOD There is no grocery store on the island but a very nice and popular seaside restaurant, 5 min from the house, To buy groceries you need to go to the mainland. Either you take the ferry to the city or, if you come by car to Lidingö, you can take the ferry to Lidingö (1 min from Storholmen), where there are several good grocery- and other stores. LAUNDRY There is no washing machine in the guesthouse, but if I'm at home (next door) I provide laundry service.
