The ski slopes are right outside the door, In summer, it takes you 12 minutes to Stavsro (best starting point for the top trip to Gaustatoppen 1883 meters above sea level). It is about 20 minutes to the Gausta alpine center area (the mountain pass is often closed in winter, but sometimes open during winter/Easter holidays, follow 175no). At closed mountain crossing it takes you 1 hour and 20 minutes (Tinnsjøveien) to reach the Gaustablikk area. Ski trails right outside the door for cross-country skiing allow you to go all the way to Gaustablikk and long stretches around the trail network (depending on sufficient snow in all trails). Own map hangs in the hallway for the ski slopes. Guest access Access to all rooms, but some cabinets/drawers are locked and closed/marked for storage of personal items. Other things to note This cabin was built in 2017/18 and with exclusive material choices and extremely great craftsmanship by local craftsmen (see Hyttemagasinet June 2018!). This is our personal cabin. Therefore, the cabin is also very well equipped with kitchen equipment, barbecue and fire pit. In winter you can dispose of kicks and sledges. We have a myriad of games and toys. A brand new 65" TV screen is mounted in the living room with HDMI input where you can connect your Apple TV or other device. We expect our guests to treat the cabin as well as we do - as our guests have so far been so good at. No indoor smoking, parties or using the cottage as a movie location. We allow you to bring a dog or cat, but these must only stay in the hallway. So not into the living rooms, bedrooms, or bathrooms. It is also not allowed to shower pets in our shower or use a shower to rinse off dirty laundry. There are garden hose outdoors in summer that can be used. Remember to leave the cabin as tidy and in as good condition as on arrival, as our other guests have been so good at, thank you! Welcome!
