Spacious Light Room - South Downs, Gatwick & coast

Peaceful, light and spacious room with double bed and day bed, ideal for relaxing or working. Includes desk, private sink area, space for a yoga mat. Next to your bathroom. Our home is comfortable, eclectic and quiet, with access to a well-equipped kitchen, shared living/dining areas and garden. Ideal for walkers, visitors or remote working. Easy access to: South Downs and Coast, Gatwick, London. Ardingly College, Wakehurst, South of England Showground. Weekly / monthly discounts available The space The house was a grain store, converted by Turner in 1912. It still has the radiators which were put in back then. Its a comfortable, with beams, character and lots of art. A perfect place to relax and feel welcome. Relax in the house, the garden (when it's warm) and cook in our well equipped kitchen like you would when staying with family or friends. We have a wealth of herbs and spices to share. Help yourself to them and the oils. Good WIFI and a printer. So ideal for those who need to work. You can eat and relax in the dining open living area. Some guests love to curl up on the leopard print sofa with a book. Although the bathroom is shared it’s only for the toilet. So the main bathroom is mostly just for you. We have our own separate bathrooms. The room has a double bed and a sofa bed. So two single people can share, or a family with an older child who is happy to share a room. We are not set up for little ones sadly. We have a second smaller double room should you need that. Depending on availability of course. Guest access You have access to your room, the bathroom, the kitchen and dining/living space. You can cook in the kitchen and relax in the dining/living space as you would at home or when visiting friends and family. We are close to everything. Ideal for sightseeing in Sussex, Brighton, London by train and only 15-20 mins from Gatwick. We are three minute walk from the South of England Show Ground and ten minute walk from Ardingly College. You can park on the high street, or there are two car parks in the village a two minute walk from the house. There are lots of walks in the area. There is a bus service from the village which goes to Crawley or Haywards Heath. The nearest train station is Haywards Heath. It's a 7 minute car /taxi journey. Trains to London leave every 15 minutes to London Bridge, Victoria, Blackfriars and St Pancras International. You can also get trains to Brighton (15-20mins) and many other Sussex destinations. During your stay We are always available to ask questions and help you navigate the local area. We are friendly and always respect everyone’s need for space but ofcourse chat briefly when we are passing in the house and kitchen. It’s a relaxed and welcoming home. Other things to note We don't take children. The youngest is typically 12+. We love children, we are just not ideally set up for young children. We are close to everything.
