Originally a barn that has been converted into four adjoining bijou cottages. They sit on the edge of a Scheduled Ancient Monument with views of Tutbury Castles Round Tower and the beautiful countryside. You can exclusively enjoy the amazing views of the countryside in an area of the Scheduled Monument, relaxing and taking a minute for yourself and watch the magnificent sunsets in our private grounds. The cottages are Ideally located for walkers with countryside footpaths right on your doorstep. Tutbury village is less than 500 meters away (6mins walk) with an array of shops, pubs, restaurants, eateries, mini mart, post office and a chemist all on the high street. There are also Boutique, craft, antique and gifts shops. The Norman Church and Museum are popular spots to visit. Tutbury is most famous for its Castle (Tutbury Castle). This can be hired for many events including weddings, birthdays, conferences etc. It sits on 38 acres, looking over the Dove Valley and the River Dove with some of the best views in Staffordshire. The Castle is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, it is owned by the Duchy of Lancaster, present owner King Charles lll Mary Queen of Scots was a prisoner there from 1569 to 1585. By the late 16th century, the castle started to decay although it was still occupied by James l. Today the Castle is furnished with original 16th and 17th century furniture. This 11th century medieval castle is a perfect romantic place for a wedding. They deliver a 5* service offering variety of different packages from large formal gatherings to small intimate groups.
