The space You have exclusive use of the annex during your stay, complete with a private entrance. Designed with your comfort in mind, it offers all the amenities of a home from home. Enter through the patio doors into a spacious double-height lounge, perfect for relaxing by the traditional wood-burning fire. Firewood is provided for your convenience. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge and freezer space. With a wide range of cooking utensils, herbs, and spices, you can easily prepare delicious meals. Enjoy your creations at the breakfast bar or dining table. The mezzanine-level bedroom features a double bed and a velux window overlooking the rear garden. The bathroom includes an electric Mira sport shower, complimentary towels, a hairdryer and toiletries. One car parking space is available for your use. Located less than a 10-minute walk from Borthwick Castle, our accommodation is perfect for event attendees at this majestic fortress. Gorebridge train station is 1.6 miles away, offering 23 trains daily to and from central Edinburgh or Galashiels in the Borders. Trains run from 5am to midnight, with hourly service for most of the day. The station also has free parking. Furthermore Gorebridge also offers shops, a post office, a restaurant, takeaways among other amenities. Alternatively, a bus stop 1.2 miles away at North Middleton provides service to Edinburgh and Carlisle from around 6:30am to 8pm, with free parking available. Buses to Edinburgh are also available from Gorebridge. We are located 19 miles from Edinburgh Airport. By car, you’re just 2 minutes from the A7, providing easy access to the Borders, Central Scotland and beyond for countless day-trip possibilities. Some of these include: - the lovely local woodland walk through Currie woods to Crichton castle - the Pentlandite hills - Gore Glen - Roslin Glen with Rosslyn Chapel - National Mining Museum - East Lothian beaches - The Great Tapestry of Scotland - Jupiter Artland And we are always happy to give more personalised recommendations too. Guest access There is a keybox for the private entrance to allow you to come and go as you please. We will message you the code for the lockbox before arrival as this is changed regularly Other things to note Please feel free to message us/request different trip lengths to what is available - if we can make it work, we will 😀 We can also offer a cot, cot sheet, a y bath and high chair upon request if needed. We live next door and are happy to provide anything you require that the annex does not have so please just give us a knock if you need anything, including local tips on things to do! We also have a very friendly working cocker dog (Zeebah) who does not have access to the annex, however she may come and say hello to you in the garden if outside or you leave the door open Registration Details ML00085F
