A bushveld getaway on a private game reserve in the Waterberg Biosphere. Butterfly cottage itself is a thatched cottage in our game area. The space Set in the UNESCO recognised Waterberg Biosphere, Butterfly is a lovely thatched cottage set by our heated swimming pool. It is fully equipped for self catering. Butterfly has a double bedroom and an open plan living/dining/kitchen area with two sofa beds. Butterfly has its own built in braai boma and hot tub. We offer a wide range of on-site activities for guests, including walking trails, game drives, horse riding, guided birding, our 15m heated pool, volleyball court, tennis court, a children's adventure village and trampoline, pony rides and donkey cart rides. One of the things that makes us unique is the presence of our resident astronomer - Dr Philip Calcott, who can give guests a guided tour of the stunningly dark night sky in the Waterberg Guest access Guests obviously have Butterfly to themselves, but can also enjoy marked walking trails of various lenghts in the game reserve, or they may prefer to relax in the beautiful gardens surrounding the cottage, or to sunbathe alongside the heated pool. Other things to note The last 8 km of road to the cottage is gravel, but guests can access this with a normal car. Very low vehicles (think sporty BMW) will struggle. A 4x4 is not required.
