Well Cottage

Well Cottage was created in 2017 from the former wash-house and bakery for Townsend Farm, dating from 1858. It is fronted by an authentic pebble courtyard and stands, together with the farmhouse, in a romantic English country garden. The cottage is warm, comfortable and refurbished to a high standard. The view to the rear is across cultivated farmland. The garden opens to the public under the National Garden Scheme on specific dates to raise money for nursing and health charities. The space Well Cottage has 2 bedrooms (one double & one single) and a shower/WC upstairs. There is a fully equipped kitchen-dining room, sitting room and a WC, downstairs. Please note that guests are requested not to use the sitting room as an additional bedroom. This accommodation is not suitable for 3 single adults or families with more than one child. The wood burning stove in the sitting room is for aesthetic effect only and therefore not in use. Free Wi-Fi. The south facing, rear terrace is a must for sunny days and sun-downers. Parking on premises for two cars. Guests are welcome to stroll around the garden and enjoy the seating areas. The newly created wildlife pond is home to Mallard ducks, moorhens, newts and dragon flies. It is a tranquil setting to watch the sunset.
