In order to preserve the customs house, I decided to "escape the city" a few years ago. Even though everything is being rebuilt and rebuilt with us, I look forward to finally opening the doors for new guests again. The apartments: For this purpose, we have converted two of the former boarding rooms on the first floor into kitchens, so that both wings can be used separately as apartments. These are each around 85 m² in size and offer sleeping accommodation for up to seven guests (three double rooms - two with bathroom in the room/one with bathroom in the hallway). In addition, for large groups (at extra cost) there is the possibility to book 3 more rooms on the second floor (2 double rooms/ 1 single room). During the renovation, it was important to me to preserve the original character of the rooms as much as possible, so we especially welcome lovers who appreciate rustic authenticity more than modern perfection. Of course, our groups and guests also have the old rustic inn on the ground floor as a lounge, where there used to be a lot of activity from morning to evening. We are also happy to provide drinks on request. Being outside: Our guest house with the adjoining courtyard has a beautiful secluded location, right by the forest. In the garden you can set up (existing) loungers, parasols, seating groups or hammocks. A barbecue area is available and our playground is also under construction again. For the children, there are goats, chickens, cows, calves and rabbits to look at and feed. All my guests are welcome, depending on the season, to get vitamins from our fruit trees (cherry, plum, apple, pear). For breakfast, I will gladly put fresh milk on the table. Eggs and homemade jams can be purchased on demand. In addition, I organize a barbecue evening for you with freshly made salads, drinks and meat products from the local butcher. Basically, you can have everything from me except ironed sheets! It is washed with love and dried in the sun, but ironing is simply no longer possible :) Leisure activities: From our farm there are numerous opportunities to make excursions and start activities. Apart from hiking through the directly adjacent forest, you are in the Czech Republic in just a few kilometers; five minutes away is the Silbersee, with a beach section for the children. If you drive to Waldmünchen (10-minute drive), you can enjoy the beach on the larger Perlsee. The Cherchov (15-minute drive) and Hohe Bogen with summer toboggan run (55-minute drive) invite you to hike. In the surrounding small towns (about 10 min) you will find all the shops (Norma/Netto/Edeka/Tedi/candle factory/pharmacy/etc.)cafes and an ice cream parlor. The next two surrounding villages (each 5 min drive) also offer Tante Emma shops, bakeries, butchers and restaurants. About me: I originally grew up with my parents on Lake Chiemsee. After graduating from high school, I lived in Italy for seven years and studied biology with a focus on genetics. This was followed by a few years as a biologist in Berlin. When my grandparents' home - the "Gasthof zum Zollhaus" - was threatened with closure due to a lack of interest from all descendants, I decided to turn my back on the city and preserve the family property. Today I run the farm as a full-time farmer and have not regretted this decision until now. But even if I don't miss traveling (yet), I'm starting to feel a bit lonely in my beautiful secluded location.
