Description
Large, comfortable and private double bedroom with feature fireplace and en-suite bathroom in a Grade 2* listed country house. ‘Old Place’ is located just off the high street of the picturesque and award-winning village of Lindfield. The house was designed and built by the famous Victorian Charles Eamer Kempe (Master of Glass) as his private home. The surrounding area includes four country pubs, three restaurants, an artisan café, bakery & several gorgeous shops, all within a five minutes walk. The space Nestled on a private gravel road, Old Place is a large Manor House built in 1891. During the latter part of the 1900’s is was split into several dwellings out of which the East Wing is the largest containing several ornate reception rooms and a beautiful feature staircase leading up two flights of stairs. The bedrooms all overlook the tranquil gardens, surrounded by large hedges and the beautiful countryside beyond. It’s a quiet and peaceful place where you are woken by the birds in the morning, yet have the convenience of one of Sussex’s most well kept villages on the doorstep. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy a hot or cold drink in one of the beautiful and very ornate reception rooms, displaying all of the original stained glass windows and hand carved wooden panels. During your stay Someone from our small family will be at hand to check you in and show you around. From there on we shall be happy to give you your own space, letting yourselves in and out as you please. Other things to note I would be delighted to assist in recommending local attractions, good quality restaurants, spas or gardens.
