Camp Haven-Spacious, Sunny Glen Lake Cottage

Camp Haven! A spacious lakefront cottage to relax and gather with family/friends in the heart of scenic Sleeping Bear Dunes Nat'l Park. Lake/beach/boat access on the stunningly beautiful Little Glen Lake out the back door. It is across the street from a 22-mile paved trail that meanders through peaceful wooded dunes and scenic hikes. Quaint pubs and ice cream shops are just 5 miles either direction in Empire and Glen Arbor. Add'l Camp Haven cabins available onsite w/shared waterfront. The space Camp Haven is a property with 4 cottages situated on 100 feet of footage on beautiful Glen Lake. Three of the cottages share the waterfront. It is owned by 8 college roommates - and one husband - who purchased it in 2021 to create a special place for friends and family to gather. This spacious, bright, 3-story cottage is the perfect base camp to work or play with friends and family, as it includes both large spaces to spend time together and small, quiet corners to just retreat and relax with a book. It is recently renovated and has fast wifi and new beds. However, please note it is still a simple up north cottage- not a luxury hotel but a comfortable place to relax with friends and family. Camp Haven is geared toward families and we ask all our guests to respect 10pm quiet hours when in outdoor areas. This is located in an area with many cottages nearby, so to be respectful of our neighbors, please do not book for loud late night parties. The first floor has a full in-law suite with bed/bath and kitchen, as well as two additional bedrooms and another full bath. The second floor has two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and another kitchen/dining/living room area. The third floor is open loft great for lounging, playing, studying, or even yoga. NOTE: The beach and lawn area are shared with other cottages, and this cottage also has its own patio area and two balconies facing the shared waterfront. Guests have access to shared basic watercraft (basic kayaks and paddleboat), glorious sunrises, and a wonderful, shallow lake that is perfect for family swims and paddles. Do beware that Little Glen Lake can be prone to swimmer's itch in the summer, so we recommend families take steps to prevent it (apply sunscreen prior to entering lake, wash off with soap after time in the lake). During your stay, we ask that all Camp Haven guests be friendly and considerate of other guests so everyone has a relaxing and rejuvenating stay. We ask all guests to respect quiet hours in outdoor common areas after 10pm. Please note no pets are allowed in this unit. Our other two units do allow pets so you may see other guests with pets, and we ask that people leash pets in common areas unless other guests specifically say they are okay with them. Guest access The house has a large gravel lot with parking for up to 4 vehicles. It shared with two other cottages. Other things to note Camp Haven has 4 cottages in total -contact the host to book all 4 cottages (15 bedrooms) for family reunion next summer.
