Herdade Monte da Tapada - SPACE, TIME AND SILENCE

Today, this same Hill receives from the Guadiana River the largest artificial lake in Europe where there was once a field, with olive trees, cork oaks and holm oaks, today we see water and renewed life, with opimas conditions for outdoor activities and water sports, (Paddle, Kayak...) Monte is also the best spot for stargazing. It is a place where peace and silence live in communion with nature! The space Monte is located 4.5 km from the village of Alqueva and it is possible to take this route on foot (1/H). Hiking and spotting various species of animals (storks, sheep, otters, partridges...) are possible. Excellent place for fishing! It is possible to rent boats at Alquevatours. Guest access Guests have access to the entire floor of the house. Access to the garden and lake. Other things to note Guests are required to purchase bottled water to drink. (They can use the water to bathe and make food.) The trash will have to be removed by the guests. To bathe in the lake, we suggest that you get pool shoes for added comfort.
