50 years ago, a Sprite 400 caravan, was heaven for escapists, hedonists, and people who needed to 'get out'. Today, you can experience life in a tiny Sprite 400 - placed in gorgeous surroundings. Yes, it's tiny. The double bed is tiny (120 cm X 200 cm). The extra bed is tiny. The sink is tiny. But it will not be a tiny experience. The surrounding landscape is huge and plentiful. Private beach, forest and cliff viewpoint within walking distance. Bring your camera and a positive mindset :-) Did I mention that the carevan is tiny? Well it is. It is also from 1968, and mostly in original condition. It's 'clean' as a vintage caravan can be. You will have a very nice private bathroom available, just a short walk (30 meter) from the caravan. It is in our house, but you will go through you own entrance and won't bother us :-) There is electricity in the caravan. You can charge your mobile phone. You will have 4G coverage. There is a transistor radio for your convinience. There is an outdoor fridge available a short walk (30 m) from the caravan. The fridge may contain fruit and beverages, that you can enjoy at very low prices. Of course, you can also store your own food items in the fridge :-) For safety reasone, and convienience, I removed the old gas stove and installed a single induction cook top. You can also use the barbeque outside, or roast your food over a bonfire in the bonfire pan. Firewood is included. There is a sink in the caravan but no running water. You will collect water in the nearby house. It's not a problem. There is 4G mobile coverage. The very nice private view point, which we call 'The view' is a short 400 meter walk from the caravan. It is a nice place to bring a blanket and, for example, have lunch. You can also enjoy the view and life in general, from the kissing bench on the cliff edge of 'The view'. The nearby forest (400 m) is a private forest owned by me. If you want to sleep under the trees, you are welcoms. You can also freely lend a two persons tent, if you would like to keep a distance from the occasional mosquito in the forest. It's not a problem. Just 500 meters from the caravan, you are welcome on my beach. It's open for the public, but secluded, and more often than not, you will have the beach for yourself. The water is children friendly (supervision required at all times, though). If you like you can take a longer walk on the beach to the famous 'Røjle Klint' - (Google it :-) - it's about a kilometer walk on the beach, with guaranteed nature experiences that will make you go 'Wow'. Remember the caravan is tiny and the landscape is great. Perfect combo :-) You have the whole tiny caravan and surrounding field for yourself. The nearby garden around my house is also available and it will be shared with me and my kids. You are welcome to use the playground - shared space with my kids :-) The bathroom is for you only, though the hallway leading to the bathroom is shared space. We are rarely in that part of the farm anyway, so you won't bother us at all. :-) Smoking is not allowed in the caravan, but if you want to smoke and it's raining outside, there is a shelter under which you can sit and enjoy. Me, and my wife and two school age kids, are living in the house nearby. Some people prefer to relax and just be themself, while on vacation. I respect that. Some people want advice and a chat. I welcome that. The caravan is situated on a farm. You will have silence* and tranquillity. *Disclaimer: You might hear 'moooo' from the cows in the nearby field (they are behind fence), or 'Goook' from my neighbors chickens (they are not fenced), or laughter from my kids in the garden next to the field. Everything you see in the pictures is available for you to enjoy. Go to 'The view' to get a nice view. Go to the forest to relax. Go the the beach to refresh. Make a bonfire to get cosy. Go to LegoLand (40 minutes drive) for the kid. Enjoy the city of Middelfart just a short drive (3 km) away. Walk to the local grocery store to buy food. Take the train to Copenhagen (two hours). Take the train to Aarhus (one hour). We have nature, museums, traditional cafes, pedestrian street, vibrant harbour, and much more (ask) within walking distance (if you like really long walks), bicycle distance (if you like a fair biking distance), or you can even drive. You will: - walk to the nature experiences. - Bike (I'm planning to get some bicycles available, not ready yet) into the town of Strib for food. - Probably drive to the city of Middelfart, but we have a bus stopping just at the street. - Drive to LegoLand - Take the train to Copenhagen or Aarhus. - There are two bicycles for adults freely available. - Bed sheets, linen, and towels are provided. You don't need to bring your own. - There is a fridge with refreshments (beer, sodas, wine, apples (maybe), juice, bottled water) sold at a not-for-profit price (everything in the fridge costs DKK 5,-). You are welcome to store your own food in the fridge as well :-) - Firewood for the outdoor fire pan is included.
