The space The house has great character La Cachette, built in 1650, has great character with all the rooms individually and sympathetically designed. Four large double bedrooms, one situated on the ground floor, one with stunning Four-Poster bed, all with en suites, each bedroom has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speaker, USB charging points, individually controlled thermostatic radiators, blackout thermal curtains or blackout blinds. They are tastefully furnished and have high quality bed linen, towels and amenities to ensure guests are as comfortable as possible. The house is wrapped around its' furnished peaceful inner courtyard which is visible from all rooms and accessible directly from bedrooms three and four, the kitchen and the ground floor lounge. The closest free car park - Place du Champ de Mars -100 mtrs, guests may unload their luggage near the house door where there is time limited on-street parking within 20 mtrs. Villedieu les Poeles is a lively market town, with a large market every Tuesday and has free, open air live music evenings in the main street in the summer, dates from the Tourist Office. Famous for its traditional bell foundry and production of copper artifacts, Villedieu is also ideally positioned for all of Normandy's many attractions, such as Champrepus Zoo within 15 minutes and Ange Michel Theme Park and the pretty beach resort of Jullouville within 30 minutes, there is a direct train from Villedieu Station to central Paris (Montparnasse) or to the beautiful fortified Port of Granville with its Marina, yachting centre, specialist shops and historic old town. You can also take a day trip to Jersey or the Chausey Islands from Granville. Cancale with its world famous oyster beds and many restaurants, St. Malo and the astonishing Mont St. Michel are all within an easy hours drive. There is a very informative Tourist Information Centre in Villedieu les Poeles and in the summer months a Petit Train and Horse drawn carriage rides will take you around the many interesting places within the town.
