Sæbø center, Sunnmørsalpene and Hjørundfjorden

Cozy house with garden and terrace in the middle of Sæbø center, surrounded by the Sunnmørsalpene, overlooking Hjørundfjorden and the magnificent mountains Saksa and Slogen. There is walking distance to two grocery stores, niche stores, hotels, campsites, fjord sauna and a small sandy beach with a common barbecue/outdoor area. The bus, shuttle boat and ferry Sæbø-Leknes/Urke are within walking distance. Sæbø is a good starting point for simple to spectacular mountain hikes. In season you can fish salmon in Bondalselva (fishing license can be bought in the shop) The space The house is in the middle of Sæbø city center. There is plenty of space for outdoor play on the lawn, barbecue on the terrace and there is a pool table and shoelak table in the basement. We have given the blue house the name of Solbekk, for it flows a small stream next to the house The single-family home is from 1937 and the dwelling is renovated but has retained its old character with painted wooden floors and original doors. In front of the house is flat lawn and we have badminton, croquet and cube games for use. The garden also has fruit and berry bushes that you can eat from. The house includes: Ground floor: hallway, bathroom with toilet, shower, washingmaching and dryer. The house has an open living room and kitchen. The kitchen is new and of good standard with dishwasher, large induction hob, integrated fridge, microwave, mixer, coffee maker and kettle. All kitchenware/tableware is available. In the basement is a freezer (198 liters) Second floor: 4 bedrooms and a guest toilet. A total of 10 beds and a gate bed. 1 double bed width 140 cm and a bunk bed, 3 double beds width 160 cm. (To come to the one bedroom you have to go through another bedroom) We have summer and winter duvets adapted to the season. Linen and towels are included. Beach towels must be brought yourself. There is access to iron, ironing table and vacuum cleaner. One bedroom has office desk. On the second floor there is an exit to the porch. There is a pool table in the basement so here you can have handsome pool tournaments. We also have Sjoelbak table games. Note that in the basement there is some lower ceiling height. There is also a room in the basement that you can use for storing hiking equipment, and there is a work bench. Another room in the basement is used for private storage and the grey annex in the garden is also private and is not included in the rent. Terrace on the front of the annex can be used. There is Wifi internet and Apple TV with Telia play. There is a private parking space outside the house for 2-3 cars. There is a large terrace on the ground floor with garden group, sun umbrella and barbecue. Here you can enjoy good barbecue on the terrace. If you want to go to a covered table, you can stroll to the hotel close by and have lunch or dinner there( it's a good idea to reserve a table) Lounge group is set out in spring/summer, but we have garden chairs and barbecue stored in the basement that you can bring out if you want to use during the winter season. ( gas in the woodshed) The house is located close to Hjørundfjorden where there are great walkways along the sea and along the Bondalsel river. Of day trips you can take from Sæbø as a starting point for example: Trollstigen, Geiranger, Jugendbyen Ålesund, Øye, Trandal, Stryn, Loen and Runde. There is a ferry from Sæbø to Leknes/Urke where the road goes through the beautiful Norangsdalen and on to Øye, Hellesylt and Geiranger. There is also the possibility to rent a guide for challenging trips in the Sunnmøre Alps. You can also rent boats and get to experience Hjørundfjorden and beautiful nature. From Sæbø it is 10 minutes by car to Ørsta ski center with alpine resorts and nice ski slopes during the winter season. It takes about 25 minutes driving time to two of the nearest villages, Ørsta and Volda. Other things to note This is a vacation home that is free of personal belongings. Ready-made beds are included. We are helpful with itinerary and if you come by plane then it is often to Vigra airport, possibly Ørsta/Volda airport. The nearest electric car charger is at Sagafjord Hotel which is 250 meters away from our house. The house is decorated for holidays such as Christmas and Easter.
