THE LOCAL AREA: Branksome Chine which leads to Branksome Beach is within walking distance of the property, and is an ideal way to reach the sea, as well as a peaceful place for a woodland stroll. Once on the golden shore there are many traditional seaside activities to choose from. Branksome has a superb safe, sandy beach, a popular restaurant right next to the beach and the famous beach huts. Branksome beach offers spectacular views of Poole Bay where you may spot the Grand Prix powerboat racing. The walk along the promenade underneath the cliffs or along the beach to Bournemouth Pier is very pleasant. In the opposite direction you can walk towards Sandbanks where there is a passenger ferry to Studland and Swanage on the Isle of Purbeck. The land train runs along the promenade to Bournemouth and Boscombe Pier beyond and makes light work of the return trip of your walk. Branksome offers a more peaceful holiday environment than the central parts of either Bournemouth or Poole, but it is not far from the action. The opportunity to stay in this wonderful coastal retreat should not be missed.
