A 1 bedroom peaceful retreat in Thetford Forest with two lakes within 300 metres, popular for open water swimming & paddle boarding and a man made beach! Also next door is the popular Shepherds Baa coffee hut selling quality coffee and snacks... all in the heart of the forest. Bring your bikes and explore this dreamy location! The stylish cottage is ideally located to explore Norfolk & Suffolk, 4 miles from Brandon train station, 1 mile from Mundford village with its shops, pub and cafe The space You will have the ‘Robins Rest’ cottage to yourself. It is equipped with high quality modern furnishings, underfloor heating, open plan kitchen/ lounge, wifi, TV, dishwasher, washer/drier, oven, hob, full size fridge freezer, good water pressure to shower and bath and a separate bedroom with a king size bed. It is located within a beautiful shared walled garden set in over 1.5 acres and brimming with wildlife. The garden has well stocked borders, a stunning pavilion with seating, fire pit and bbq (please bring your own charcoal), which is shared with other guests. There are also deck chairs for you to use. On site there is the delightful Shepherds Baa cafe which is open every day from 9 to 4pm. Lakes, rivers and endless walks are just a stone's throw away. Relax in the beautiful forest environment and immerse yourself in nature! Guest access You will have the cottage to yourself. Outside, you have access to the parking area and lawns and pavilion with its fire pit and some outdoor seating areas. We also have deck chairs for you to use and you are immediately adjacent to Thetford Forest which has picnic tables, walks, lakes just over the road with a little man made beach, it is a great place to be! Other things to note Please be aware that we have a strict no pet policy at this property. Mobile phone signal isn’t great, you will get signal around the grounds but sometimes it can be patchy. It is best to enable wifi calling as the wifi is good. We are in the forest away from public transport so you are advised to have a car in order to make the most of your stay. There is a military training area close by so occasionally you will hear aircraft and training exercises in the distance. We politely request that you drive in and out of the drive at walking pace as we have two dogs and, although they are not often roaming free around the parking area, it is possible.
