La Pommeraie - Fye North West France

4 bedroom Detached converted Barn sleeps 9. Our cottage / gite is in the village of Fye a short 10 minute drive to Alencon. The space Detached converted stone barn with seculded garden in beautiful rural location situated in North West France on the Normandy & Pays De Loire borders. The village of Fye is close to local amenities in Alencon and Le Mans, famous for the motor racing circuit. Ideal for 2 families to share or equally just for one couple to enjoy some peace and quiet. Downstairs there is a large kitchen / dining area, separate lounge which has a television for playing DVDs or connecting to laptop. There are 4 bedrooms one with king size bed and has en suite shower, bath and toilet. There is a 2nd double room, a triple room with single beds then a bunk bedroom which sleeps adults if necessary. There is a 2nd family bathroom for other guests also with shower, bath and toilet. Large secluded child friendly secure garden for badminton, football and general outside living. We also have a games room for table tennis and darts. Fye is a small peaceful village with all usual amenities and the town of Alencon 10 minutes away has larger hypermarkets and tourist activities. The market town of La Fresney sur Sarthe is within 3 miles and has all typical characteristics you would expect from a rural French town. There are forests and lakes close to Fye which provide ideal opportunity for a relaxing holiday whether walking, cycling or just sampling the French way of life. Set in the grounds of an apple orchard is where the name La Pommeraie derives from. The owners bought the property in 2003 and spent 3 years undertaking a complete renovation to its current condition. There are plenty of sunloungers to use and all usual amenities such as bbq 2 x patio tables, large indoor table comfortably seating all the family for meals. Small bistro table for breakfasts etc. We provide all sheets and bed linen but no towels. The seperate lounge has an open fire, seating for all the guests and tv for showing dvds. Wi-fi throughout the Gite . Guest access The whole house is yours when you stay, we live in England and love other people to be able to enjoy the Gite as we do. Other things to note You will need a car to get around and explore the beautiful countryside. Alencon with it's Hypermarkets and retail park are 10 minutes away. Local towns of Fresnay Sur Sarthe, Beaumont Sur Sarthe, Souge Le Ganelon are only a few minutes drive away and offer usual amenities. St Leonard Du Bois and St Cenri within the scenic Alpes Mancelles region are well worth a visit.
