Superb residence of character, the castle and its 6 ha park welcome you to the Ardennes massif; its thick walls bear witness to 1000 years of history, its terrace and the view of the park and ponds, its warm and authentic interior Possibility of accommodating guests nearby The space Preliminary note: we do not provide sheets, pillowcases, towels, kitchen towels; each tenant must therefore bring them GROUND FLOOR At the main entrance, a large corridor gives access to: - on the left, to the dining room and kitchen, as well as to the TV lounge. The kitchen is equipped with: dishwasher, microwave, large stove and small fridge - on the right, to a large living room as well as a typical room, called "weapons room". A secondary entrance, in the corner of the tower, gives access to a boiler room and a "back kitchen" where there is a large fridge and a freezer. Cold room where you can store drinks etc... A third entrance, on the north side, gives access to the weapons room, close to the garage. 1st FLOOR: On the landing, on the left: - mahogany room: 2 beds (this is where General Patton slept in 1944), sink and bidet - front bedroom: very large bedroom, 2 beds, 1 crib, sink and bidet On the landing on the right: - a room that served as a sacristy allows passage to the chapel dating from the origins of the castle, in the tower - a large bathroom: bathtub, shower, double sink and toilet - a toilet - neo-Gothic room: characteristic, surprising room; 2 adjoining beds, canopy, + 1 extra bed - a small bedroom: 2 beds; you have to go through the "neo-Gothic" room to access this small bedroom - a small shared bathroom (shower and sink) So on the 1st floor: 4 bedrooms, 1 large bathroom, 1 small bathroom, 2 toilets 9 90 cm beds and 1 children's bed. Note: All beds are fitted with single duvets and pillows. Tenants will bring their own duvet covers and pillows Guest access Large private park, walks, fishing, swimming, mountain biking etc. proximity to the historic sites (1944's Battle of the Bulge) of Bastogne (4.5 km) Other things to note - on holiday weekends, we do not accept bookings of less than 3 nights - we do not welcome guests for only 3 days on weekdays; you can book a weekend and a week but not just the "midweek" - firewood is available to guests for stoves and indoor open fires and can in no case be used to make outdoor fires - Waste sorting is strict in this municipality, so it will be necessary to follow the recommendations displayed - the ponds allow for swimming, canoeing (small boat available) and fishing
