The guest house is beautifully adorned with cool Karoo shades, showcasing tasteful decoration. The charming reed ceilings infuse a touch of the old Karoo charm, while the modern high windows and glass doors allow an abundance of natural light to illuminate the rooms. During the summer months, the air conditioning system ensures a comfortable and pleasant ambiance. This welcoming guest house features two generously-sized en-suite bedrooms. The main bedroom boasts a king-sized bed with extra length, along with a luxurious full bathroom. The second bedroom offers twin beds and a convenient shower. Both bedrooms open up to a delightful covered veranda, inviting the warm embrace of the morning sun. Guests are provided with feather duvets, electric blankets, crisp white percale linen, and indulgent towels. An additional guest toilet is also available. The lounge area is a true sanctuary of comfort, featuring a wood-burning combustion stove, a flat-screen TV with a selection of DStv channels, and a study alcove equipped with WiFi access. The collection of books is ever-changing, following a "take one, leave one" library concept. Catering to culinary desires, the guest house boasts a well-equipped kitchen complete with a gas hob and oven, a microwave oven, a full fridge/freezer, and a captivating view of the rolling hills and Karoo sky, transforming cooking into a delightful experience. For added convenience, a dishwasher is also provided. Guests can indulge in a selection of coffees, teas, and homemade rusks. Dining options include a breakfast bar, an open-plan dining area, or a picturesque pergola in the charming courtyard. Glass doors gracefully unveil the enclosed courtyard, showcasing a daybed, comfortable loungers, a refreshing splash pool surrounded by wooden decking, and an invigorating outdoor shower. With its captivating view towards the foothills of the Swartberg, this tranquil setting is the ideal place to unwind and embrace lazy Karoo days, while also enjoying a traditional braai. As the sun sets, the night skies reveal a breathtaking spectacle. Other things to note The elegant Elfen Cottage is adjacent to the house and can accommodate an additional two guests (please message for more details). A laundry service is available at an additional fee. We regret we cannot accommodate children under the age of six, nor pets.
