Albertine Barn

Our sleeps 8 cottage is situated in the rural hamlet of Brushfield, between Buxton and Bakewell in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District National Park. We are on the edge of Monsal Dale and situated up a quiet country lane, on a sunny south facing hillside, with outstanding views across open landscapes. It is an idyllic setting, surrounded by fields and woodland, providing peace and tranquillity yet central to all the attractions of the Peak District. The space Impressive large cart entrance with flagstones and glazed doorway. Attractive upstairs balcony. Full central heating and double-glazing. Garden and grounds enjoy sun for the majority of the day. Ample parking. Linen and towels provided. Cot and high chair are available. Modern, individually designed, well-equipped kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Quarry tiles, pine and oak beams and recessed light fittings lend a special atmosphere to the room. Dining area looks out across the former farmyard (with a view down the valley). Spacious lounge with picture views over the valley. Colours and fabrics are carefully co-ordinated. TV, DVD and video player and wi-fi access. 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor. The 2 upstairs double bedrooms can have en suite facilities by limiting access from corridor areas. Exposed floorboards with occasional rugs add to the charm and comfort. Use of pine beams throughout, including exposed trusses in upstairs bedrooms. Bathroom and shower room upstairs and a separate shower/toilet on ground floor level. Shared launderette facilities. Guest access All areas of the property and most areas of the surrounding grounds.
