Tucked away in a serene woody environment not too far from Eastern Uganda's Mbale town is a rustic gem of a lodge deliberately named after a historic Ugandan war general “Semei Kakungulu Country Lodge” in memory of the celebrated icon and founder of the Jewish faith in Uganda. We provide a mid-range level of hospitality needs to both domestic and international tourists including accommodation, culinary delights, and soft entertainment. The space i. Our signature 6 room accommodation block has 4 mid-range rooms en-suite of which 2 are interconnected hence suitable for families with children or medium sized adult groups in need of a quiet nature inspired type accommodation. ii. The signature block has 2 semi-luxury rooms with front and back end balconies opening to lush gardens with abundant plant species home to a colony of mainly birds and occasionally squirrels, mongoose among others punctuating your early morning or evening relaxed ambience with auxiliary gardens to supplement your experience while you make a unique connection with nature. We are developing 6 luxury cottages en-suite each with exclusive garden to give guests the much-needed privacy in a serene environment rich with nature and memorable sunset views. iii. Budget (available on request): Immerse yourself into our mature natural gardens to enjoy the adventure of camping type budget accommodation that can take small and large groups with running water facilities amidst memorable sunrise/ sunset views, forest bathing on our hammocks and hum to the crescendo of various bird tunes. b. The major entertainment at the lodge is at our bar named “The 3 wise men” still undergoing finishing touches although upon completion will have a wooden deck and treehouse summing up a wow experience for both residents and walk-in guests. ii. Apart from the bar, we have several well-kempt natural gardens that provide a venue for picnics, team-building retreats, cocktail and/ or other ordinarily exclusive parties preferably hosted by in-house resident guests although pre-booked arrangements by non-resident guests may be occasionally entertained.
