Description

Valle del Tietar, a natural environment where you will discover in nature the colors of each season and its fruits, you can enjoy romantic walks, contemplate its landscapes and delight with its starry nights. Valle del Tietar, where you will recreate in its natural pools with crystal clear waters to enjoy a good and healthy bath. Valle del Tietar, where gastronomy is another reason to go and be able to taste. Located in Piedralaves, "come lose yourself in its old neighborhoods, its small cobbled streets, its stone houses, the oldest ones have seen more than 300 years of history, contemplate their small and humble wooden balconies. In an idyllic walk you will find the church of the late eighteenth century of coffered ceilings, barrel vault with Saxon arches and an impressive baroque altarpiece. In front of the Church, "the cross of the lovers", according to its basement of 1681, so called because once the couple were together with her at the exit of mass. Nearby, La Plaza, presided over, in addition to the town hall, by the unique stone tower known as "The Clock Tower". Since we are in the square if we look closely at any of its outputs we can see the stones that once served to hold the sticks that surrounded the square, allowing, during the festivities, to celebrate bullfights. More distant are its two hermitages: The first dates from the year 1500 and was the primitive church, as part of the old cemetery. It had a beautiful Romanesque porch and an open atrium formed by arches supported by granite columns that have now disappeared. The second one, rebuilt in 1775, gives it the name of the patron saint of the Villa "San Roque", its first building can be dated back to the 14th century
