A unique stay in a country home with private sauna

Room with its own entrance, with its own large bathroom and a wood-burning sauna. The environment is quiet and peaceful in the middle of the beautiful countryside. The room overlooks a field where deer and moose graze. Location 5km from the center of Kirkkonummi, half an hour from Helsinki. The space Adrian and Linda welcome you to stay at their wonderful homestead in the Finnish Farmland. Located ten minutes drive from Kirkkonummi train station, we are within 30 minutes of Helsinki city centre. Our neighborhood includes the world famous Saltfjärden Wetland where you can see over a hundred species of local and visiting birds. We are also close to Porkkala, an area of outstanding natural beauty as well as the Linlo harbor and recreation area. A very popular farm shop and cafe in the adjoining farm attracts a loyal following from far and wide every weekend and is a must-visit. Your room accommodates two and has a large en-suite, private, double shower room with rainwater showers and an attached private sauna. Wood is provided for a session. A fridge, kettle, and microwave in the room allow you to cater to your own tastes and you are welcome to use the small coal BBQ in the summertime. The dishwashing soap can be found below the basin. All bed linen and towels are provided fresh per stay and of course, we adhere to Airbnb's 5 stage cleaning regimen between guests. The room overlooks a field that enjoys visits most days from up to 4 species of deer, ranging from the shy roe deer to the mighty moose. The little garden area in front of the room is a perfect place to sit after the sauna and enjoy the view and listen to the birds in the woods. There are blackout blinds in the room to guarantee the best quality of sleep even during the Finnish summer when the sun hardly sets at all! The room keeps nice and cool even during the hottest summer days. If you are feeling adventurous and it is the season, explore the neighboring woods for blueberries, wild strawberries, cranberries, and raspberries. Our friendly family of 6 people and 2 cats live in the house but your room, bathroom, and sauna are only for your use. You may hear some sounds of normal family life, such as kids' laughter, steps, music practice, etc. However, we don't stay up late or get up early! The water pump makes a quiet sound when it is on when water is running. There are some earplugs available should you need them. Guest access Arriving by car is easy. The navigator will take you all the way. Go ahead on the small road, the house is at the end of the road. You can leave your car in front of the greenhouse. The room is on the side of the field, access between the house and the greenhouse. If you need a ride from the train, ask (€10/pickup)! During your stay We are always happy to help! We are available most of the time and would love to meet our visitors. Please read the folder in the room for all the instructions. Other things to note You can heat the wood sauna, there is a basket of wood near the sauna. We can also heat the sauna for you for an additional fee (5e), ask about this option if you wish. The fireplace in the room is only for candles at the moment. Smoking in the room is strictly forbidden! The room can comfortably accommodate two adults. We will bring an extra mattress if there is a third person.
