The space The house is ideal for large groups and family gatherings, in the heart of the home is the large light kitchen with expansive windows and doors all leading to the beautiful private garden, this is an exquisite room featuring a sleek black granite island, a glass atrium roof, a dining table and a wood-burning stove. It also has 3 sofas and a TV to make the complete area for social gatherings. The Smallbone kitchen is well-stocked with all the cooking equipment, crockery and glassware you’ll need for every occasion and two ovens will ensure you don’t run out of space.  There is an American-style fridge/freezer. A dishwasher is also provided.  In addition to the dining table in the kitchen, you’ll find a formal dining room set in the conservatory. This sophisticated room has an open fireplace and looks out onto spectacular gardens which is the perfect backdrop to those special celebrations. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house There are 6 bedrooms in Little Garth, three of which sit on the ground floor. The master bedroom looks out on to the garden with huge glass windows. This room has its own bathroom with large shower and bath. The other 2 bedrooms downstairs each have their own bathroom, one with a shower and one with bath. The annexe room is a vast room with a super king size bed. It also has its own bathroom with a shower. This bedroom has huge windows and French doors straight into the garden. The final 2 bedrooms are upstairs with a bathroom. One bedroom has a small double so it is being sold as a single room and the other room is a single. There is much to enjoy outside this fabulous property it has a large patio area with outdoor furniture an Indian firebowl BBQ, the large private garden has a lush green lawn which sweeps to a pond at the bottom.  Local Area Little Garth is set on a quiet road just minutes walk from the York Golf club on the outskirts of the village of Strensall. The local Strensall common is just minutes away with lovely walks and there are lots of books in the house giving you maps of walks in the local areas. The area is heaven for cyclists who can explore the local area with miles of challenging roads and hills nearby. For the evening there are many great local pubs all with fining experiences such as the Durham Ox in Crayke and the Crown and Cushion in Bulmer. Head into York for the day or night just 20 minutes drive or a 25 minute bus journey (the buses run every 20 minute) or a £20 cab fare.  The jewel in North Yorkshire’s crown, I think York is one of the best break destinations in England. It was Voted ‘Best UK City’ by the Telegraph’s travel section in 2008 and York is a favorite amongst even the most seasoned of travelers. This ancient walled city has been the north’s spiritual capital for 2000 years, but that’s not say it is stuck in the past; York’s affluent young student population and its influx of tourist pounds has helped to create a cultural and commercial oasis. History seeps out of every cobbled street, but the crooked old buildings house a fantastic range of contemporary designer shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. In this bustling city centre is the famous York Minster, the Shambles, boat trips on the River Ouse, The Jorvik Centre and lots of fantastic restaurants and bars.  And what’s more, it really is a year-round location. Summer days are spent lounging in one of the many gorgeous parks throughout the city and in the Autumn York comes alive with shop windows sparkling in the dusky light.
