School House Donegal

The School House Donegal is a beautiful cottage (with superfast fibre wifi, Smart TV, and a brand new kitchen recently fitted), located in a breathtaking location in Muckross on the Wild Atlantic Way, 2km from the village of Kilcar and 10km from Killybegs in South Donegal. The space The School House has 2 main bedrooms, with an additional bed option within the lounge area, sleeping up to 5 people. Note - the second bedroom is a single bed and 2 bunk beds (see photos), so may not be suitable if booking for 4 or 5 adults. There is an outside terrace to take in the spectacular scenery and also a garden area. The property is located at the base of Muckross mountain and overlooks Trá Lathar beach (a favourite for surfing enthusiasts) and Muckross Head. A five minute walk away is Trá Bhán, which is a tranquil beach suitable for swimming. The School House is steeped in history - as the name suggests, it was once the school for the local area. The sitting room has a cosy traditional open fire, with the dining area looking out into the dramatic coastline view. There is a smart TV (with Netflix and Amazon accounts) and unlimited Wifi usage. The kitchen has a gas cooker, grill, microwave, fridge and all the usual cooking utensils. There is 1 bathroom/WC with a shower. The main bedroom has a double bed. The second bedroom has bunk beds and an additional single bed. There is another single bed available within the sitting room area. A central heating system heats water and keeps the house warm. There is also a fireplace for a traditional turf or coal fire. Boat trips are available from nearby Teelin for angling or sightseeing Slieve League, the highest sea cliff in Europe.
