La Secrète, family home 10 minutes from Provins

Located in the countryside, our 1841 house is classified as a French building. Hidden from the road, it offers 4 bedrooms and rises on 3 levels. Equipped with all the comforts (Wi-Fi, dishwasher), it offers a cozy living space to spend a quiet vacation 10 min from Provins, classified by UNESCO thanks to its buildings dating from the Middle Ages, and 1 hour from Paris and Fontainebleau. Its biggest asset? Its south-facing garden for sunbathing in peace. The space Briard type, typical of Seine-et-Marne, La Secrète is on the raised ground floor. It has undergone a fairly complete renovation and has all the comforts: Wi-Fi, two televisions (one in the living room, one in an upstairs bedroom), dishwasher, washing machine. Its maximum capacity is 8 people + a baby (a baby bed can be provided). The basement (which has not yet been renovated) includes the boiler, the laundry room with a washing machine (laundry capsules are available for long stays). The raised ground floor offers a 12 m2 bedroom with a closet where the crib and ironing facilities are stored; a living/dining room; a small unpretentious but clean and functional kitchen (microwave, fridge, dishwasher); the bathroom is refurbished as well as the toilet with hanging toilet and hand shower. Good to know: The living room sofa is comfortable for sitting, but not enough to sleep on. The floor includes 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are in a row, which is great for children. The land, facing south, adjoins a railway line with trains passing 4 to 5 times during the day (passing time: less than 10 seconds). It also has a closed outbuilding, as it is being renovated. The house also has a carport and an outbuilding not available for rent. The biggest asset of the Secrète is undeniably its large south-facing garden, sunny all day and without any neighbors. -------------------------------------------------------------- What you'll love about the area If you like walking in the middle of nature, you'll love the fields as far as the eye can see that can be explored in all seasons. Discovery tours of the fauna and flora are also organized by the AGRENABA association, which deals with the forest management and natural resources of the Bassée, a protected natural area. A few kilometers away, there is also a campsite offering beautiful lakes where it is possible to swim in summer. If you love churches, there are many buildings dating back to the 12th century to visit in the area. There are mint and plums depending on the season. It is possible to taste them, but in moderation. Please note: The house is equipped with an outdoor camera to monitor any intrusions and report them to the authorities. This camera is deactivated when guests arrive and put back into service when they leave. The house is also equipped with internal motion detectors to prevent burglaries. This alarm system is remotely deactivated upon guest arrival and reactivated upon departure. Other things to note In the kitchen, you will find coffee and tea to meet your immediate needs. So you don't have to run to the supermarket after a long drive. Fresh water is also available in the fridge. For parents, a baby bed and a high chair are available (specify this need when booking so that we can install them and prepare the bed linen). You will also find 5 bicycles (4 adults and teens + 1 child), water pistols and petanque balls in the garden shed. If you would like other services (in addition), please let us know. On the linen side, a set of spare bed linen is provided for each room depending on the length of the stay. Bath towels are available in the bathroom as well as shower gel and shampoo. The liquid salon reserves are under the kitchen sink as well as the cleaning kit. -------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT: 1. The head of a professional team left the keys in one of his cars in Belgium, and we had to travel in the evening and in a hurry to open it for him. Since then, we ask that the keys be left in the key box on each of your outings. Thus, they cannot be lost or forgotten. 2. We are non-smokers. If you are a smoker, please do not smoke inside the house.
