La Petite Maison (little house) small 200year old mid Terraced cottage. In a small quiet rural Yorkshire Wolds conservation village. A great base for walks, runs & cycle routes, seaside towns. . Due to property age and build it is Unsuitable for those with mobility difficulties. The space La Petite Maison is a calm, characterful space with a creative soul. It suits those who appreciate a slower pace—whether you’re visiting the area, needing a few days to yourself, or just wanting somewhere calm and restorative to land as a base. You’ll have everything you need for a comfortable stay, along with a sense of warmth and individuality that’s often missing from more functional spaces. From time to time, small creative sessions are held nearby in the studio for those drawn to a more reflective, hands-on experience—but your stay can be entirely your own, with as much privacy as you wish. If you’re someone who enjoys quiet spaces, meaningful details, and a slightly different kind of stay, you’ll feel at home here. This cute cosy cottage is in a mid terrace of similar cottages in a quiet village. Please check photographs for an idea of the size of the property & location. Your stay will be in a very quiet conservation village with duck pond, village green, local historic church, and a community centre. Population 311 The cottage itself is furnished in modern country style and provides, warm, cosy, comfortable accommodation for a relaxing refreshing break. There is generous outside accommodation including patio, lawned area behind the property. A short walk brings you to the large secret garden which is separate from the house and surrounded by trees. A short walk down the path to the road takes you to the public bench with views over The Wold. Uniquely situated away from the hustle and bustle of the coast yet within easy access. The air is sweet and soporific where coast meets country. Please note you will be some distance from the nearest shops.& beach at Hunmaby approx 4 -6 miles drive Guest access As our guest you will be able to access the full house. Parking is on street on a first come first served basis for spots outside the house and along the road. The bench immediately outside the backdoor is ideal for breakfast. A further grassed area behind the outbuildings is great for sitting and enjoying a drink. A walk down a country lane takes you to a large separate secret garden. Other things to note Please note there is no dishwasher, washing machine or dryer in the property. The property is cosy and the kitchen diner has a small dining table. The 2nd bedroom is a tiny bunk room featuring a single bed and a clothes hanging rail . The village is a rural, peaceful & quiet Wolds village. (population 311) This means the village itself, though a great base to return after exploring the area, will provide you with a rural setting, working farms nearby, peace, tranquility. It is not suitable for those seeking bustle, entertainment facilities, shopping.
