Engen Gård - "Smia", Svartisen, Engenbreen, Meløy, Norway

Engen Gård is located in Holandsfjorden, northern part of the Helgeland coast, at Fv 17 between Halsa and Glomfjord in Meløy municipality. The farm is idyllically located next to Engenbreen, which is a glacier arm of Svartisen, and with spectacular views of the fjord and glacier. "Smia" on the farm is rented as self-service, preferably minimum 2 days. The farm is reached by the shuttle boat that goes from the parking/bus stop at Fv 17 to Svartisen (10 min.), with departures mostly every hour of the day in the summer season. The space Engen Gården consists of 2 rental houses, "Hovedhuset" and "Smia". The houses can be rented separately or together. This listing applies to "Smia" which is a renovated old workshop, in rustic style. For "Hovedhuset" see separate listing. Please let me know if you'd like to rent both houses at the same time. Smia has a living room with kitchen, bathroom, as well as a large loft room with 6 beds and only partial possible screening between the beds. The outdoor area around Smia is at your disposal. Price includes bed linen and towels. Simple equipped kitchen and large terrace. There is some coffee/tea, spices, etc. at your disposal. The farm's location is quiet and undisturbed with only a few neighbors. When you get off the shuttle boat you feel the calmness, both because of the silence but also the powerful nature. In summer there can be many tourists on Svartisen, but the farm is undisturbed and is not affected by this. Some days you can enjoy the beautiful sight of cruise ships anchoring up on the fjord right down the farm. The road past goes to the neighboring farm, with little traffic.
