The space the rooms are build around the 3 sides of the vila's patio. There are no neighbours and the patio is very private. on the ground floor you will find a spacious traditional kitchen adjacent to living and dining room. The ground floor also contains a spacious bedroom with two single beds, a smaller bedroom with a single bed and a bathroom a spiral stair leading to the first floor, arranged as an autonomous studio containing a master bedroom, a bathroom and a big balcony. one of the best comments we get is that in this house everything is logical and at the right place Guest access the neighborhood is very quiet, one of the oldest and most traditional in Archanes. You may reach all the major places of the village on foot in less than 10 minutes. there are no provisions for private parking spots but there is no need for any, as you will most probably park right outside the house. There is also a public local parking 30 meters down the road from the house where you can always find comfortable parking Other things to note in few words one cannot possibly find all of the following anywhere else (1) milder temperatures this is very important for a lot of people who find it hard to handle hot Greek summers. Our villa is heat-insulated and stone build but it is also important that in Archanes the temperatures are on average 3-5 deg celsius less than than Heraklion (and the northern beaches) and 4-6 deg celsius less than then south. This is the effect of the mountain, Giouchtas. You can feel the difference. (2) the most beautiful Cretan village Archanes is one of the biggest and most beautiful of the villages in Crete if not the single one known to be the most beautiful. This is just simple and plain truth, just look at photos from Archanes in the internet and compare for yourself. Lots of stoned built-houses, small roads and a market, the central square is the perfect place to just enjoy peace (3) access to the main highway if you wish to see more of both the north and the south of Heraklion, Archanes is the perfect base for daily road trips. The house is 5 min from the main highway leading to the northern Heraklion (in 20-25 min) and the south (35-40 min). We are particularly happy because the house has regular guests who keep returning as they appreciate the house itself, the village of Archanes, its beauty, climate and position and, last but not least, the Cretan living and ways. Archanes is also a place of surprisingly dense history and mythology and most people feel richer once they have got to know a bit more about it and once they have visited the points of interest it has to offer.
