There are no neighbours and the patio is very private. On the ground floor you will find a spacious traditional kitchen adjacent to living and dining room. The ground floor also contains a spacious bedroom with two single beds, a smaller bedroom with a single bed and a bathroom. There is also a spiral stair leading to the first floor, arranged as an autonomous studio containing a master bedroom, a bathroom and a big balcony. You may reach all the major places of the village on foot in less than 10 minutes. There are no provisions for private parking spots and there is no need for any as you will most probably park outside the house or to the public local parking 30 meters down the road from the house Other things to note We are particularly happy because the house has regular guests who keep returning as they appreciate the house itself, the village of Archanes, its beauty, climate and position and, last but not least, the Cretan living and ways. Archanes is not only known across Crete, it is well known as one the most beautiful villages. It is arguably the single most beautiful village in a close distance from Heraklion (about 15km). Archanes sits right at the center of the island; from here you can reach both the north and the south by car, within a hour. There are a lot of unique places you can easily reach. Archanes is also a place of surprisingly dense history and mythology and most people feel richer once they have got to know a bit more about it and once they have visited the points of interest it has to offer. It is not least that Archanes is also known for one of the mildest environments in the summer, about 4 to 6 degrees celcius lower than Heraklion. This difference is even bigger compared to southern Crete. Our stone built Villa is the ideal place to relax on a hot Cretan summer day.
