Poppy Cottage No. 1 is set in the delightful village of Carleton in Craven just two miles from Skipton's town centre. With its own fabulous luxury hot tub; undercover so you can take a dip whatever the weather, this cottage is a great couples retreat. Within comfortable walking distance from the town; the indulgent hot tub, cosy wood-burning stove, stylish interiors and sun trap south-facing garden make it a great place to return to after a day out exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire. The space Poppy Cottage No. 1 is a stylish one-bedroom property. Having had a full revamp by Nick, the owner and a co-host of the cottage, who takes great pride in ensuring his guests have a luxurious stay. Poppy Cottage No. 1 & 2 have been converted into accommodation from the original barn to Ivy Cottage Farm, sadly no longer a working farm, the farmhouse (Ivy Cottage) and barn (Poppy Cottage) are an original Yorkshire Dales longhouse dating back to the late 16th Century. The cottage is cleaned and maintained to a very high standard and has a private south-facing garden with colourful rockery and shrubbery; the ideal place to soak up some rays. Here you will find the undercover hot tub which is very private and surrounded by plants and shrubbery. It is for the sole use of guests staying in Poppy No. 1. It is beautifully lit at night and can be used up to 10pm. Internally you will find a bright and airy L-shaped, open-plan living/dining/kitchen with a wood-burning stove and exposed barn wall. There is a large flat-screen Smart TV and superfast broadband and wifi throughout the cottage. On the first floor is a large double bedroom with a king-size wooden bed, flat-screen TV and stunning views stretching across the valley into Skipton. Across the small landing is the bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and shower over, toilet and washbasin. Guest access In Poppy Cottage No. 1 you will have full use of this very spacious two-storey one-bedroomed cottage with en-suite bathroom and downstairs toilet. An exceptionally large kitchen lounge and dining area. In addition a delightful conservatory and sole and private use of the fabulous hot-tub and private south-facing enclosed, patio gardens . Parking for one car in the private forecourt immediately outside the cottage. Other things to note Poppy Cottage No. 1 is owned and maintained by Nick who lives in the adjoining cottage - Poppy Cottage No. 2. I assist Nick with his bookings and as we live on site I am also available if you have any issues or queries. Nick takes care of all the day-to-day running issues and is responsible for all the maintenance, safety and cleaning of the cottage.
