Today, cyclists start here on the famous Danube cycle path or enjoy a leisurely boat trip through the Wachau. Just a few steps away you will find cozy cafés, such as the popular Café Central or the Rathauskeller Café with a beautiful guest garden. For culinary highlights, I recommend the restaurant Zur Post or the Koloman in Melk Abbey. In the Wachau, of course, a glass of regional wine should not be missing – for example in the surrounding wine taverns in Spitz or Weißenkirchen. In addition to Melk Abbey, the ruins of Aggstein, Göttweig Abbey or a trip to Krems and Dürnstein are also ideal for excursions. If you like to be active, you can cycle along the Danube, hike or explore the Wachau by boat. I would be happy to give you personal tips for your perfect time in the Wachau upon your arrival!
