Set back from the high street, our property offers secure parking in the drive for two cars and is a 5 minute walk from Sleaford Train Station. Lincoln, Newark, Grantham and Stamford are all within easy driving distance... we provide the perfect base from which to explore Lincolnshire. The space Our building is nearly 200 years old and we have totally renovated Riverside Retreat into a light and spacious flat whilst retaining all its original features so the place oozes character. Upon entering, open the door and you're straight into our fabulous kitchen, with an extendable farmhouse table that seats 4-6 and is fully equipped with everything you need for prepping and cooking your meals and the all important dishwasher to clear up afterwards! The corridor from the kitchen leads you through to a double bedroom with walk in wardrobe and full sized bathroom with bath and overhead shower... if that's occupied, there's also another small loo next door! The final room you reach (up three steps) in the downstairs part of the flat is the huge sitting room with a gorgeous sash bay window overlooking Sleaford's bustling high street. The room has all its original Victorian features including decorative fireplace and picture rail. With two really comfy sofas, a brand new 43 inch TV (with Netflix, Amazon & Freeview) and a cupboard full of games and books, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The master bedroom and en suite (with waterfall shower) are up a flight of stairs to your right before the sitting room. Prior to entering the upstairs bedroom there is a dinky alcove space with a small double bed, if needed. The main bedroom has a king size bed, dressing table, wardrobe and a large chest of drawers. Again, we have kept the original fireplaces in both bedrooms and sash windows, which all adds to the delightful character of the flat. The bedrooms also have luxury 100% linen duvet covers and fresh fluffy towels. From the kitchen front door down the steps will take you to our hidden gem which is a secluded tranquil town centre garden with the River Slea running along both sides of it. It's the perfect place to have your morning coffee watching the ducks amble by and if you do happen to have a dog, they will love it too! The downstairs tenant has access to a small decking area but the rest of the garden is for the guests sole use. There is an outdoor table and parasol that seats 4 in the garden. The garden is fully fenced and completely safe for both children and dogs to run around in.
