The Shearing Shed - cosy barn on family farm

The Shearing Shed was an old cowshed/pig sty/shearing shed now converted into a holiday let. Open plan with log burner, fully equipped kitchen, king size bed and single bed (travel cot available), shower room and outside space with table and chairs. You are at the heart of the farm yard (please note we are a working farm and there will be animals close by!) The local taxi service is not great so please book ahead if you need a taxi transfer from the station (see pictures for list of numbers). The space It has had many uses over it's life: Dairy, cow shed, stable, pig sty, shearing shed, film set*, farm shop and now holiday accommodation. * In 2013 we made a BBC program (Nigel and Adam's Farm Kitchen) and this space was converted into Nigel Slater's kitchen. Guest access Guests are welcome to walk around the farm and meet our sheep, pigs, horses, alpaca, dogs and cat. Other things to note The property is open plan with curtains between the living and bedroom areas (not that anyone closes the curtain when the log burner is lit!) We will make the king size bed up if the booking is for 2 people, please let us know if you’d like the single bed making up as well.
