Alexandra's Country House - Lakkoi - Chania

This cute country house, ideal for bikers and hikers is situated at the traditional and historical village of Lakkoi, just a breath away from the White Mountains. Has panoramic view to the nearby villages of Zourva and the White Mountains' forests. The village offers traditional food and drinks. There are various paths, routes, leading to Omalos, the mountains and south Crete. Omalos and Samaria gorge are 15 minutes away, while the nearest beach, is half an hour away by car. The space This house belonged to the family for more than 100 years and was renovated with much affection, so that family tradition is passed on. It is decorated according to the local customs, combining new technology with tradition. On the ground floor the living room is ideal for family moments of entertainment as it features satellite TV and many board games. At the same level is the dining room in an ideally functional relationship with the living room and the kitchen. The bedroom on this level has its own bathroom and view across the horizon. On the first floor of the house there is another bedroom, which can accommodate two adults as well as a third person in the folding bed.The floor also has a bathroom. Finally, the first-floor terrace, featuring a five-person jacuzzi, offers a spectacular view to the white mountains and the villages of Meskla and Zourva and a unique opportunity for relaxation and privacy.Since the owners also visit regularly the village, the house is fully equipped with everything you may need (free wifi, tv, and kitchen tools). The house is very close to the village taverns and coffee shops, in a property surrounded by olive trees .The house is a ideal base for your activities in western Crete.100 meters from the house starts a magnificent path, going down the valley and up again to the village, offering the visitor an hour of walking in Crete's special nature. Samaria Gorge is 20 minutes by car, Balos and Falassarna one hour away and you can easily reach the southern beaches through Omalos and Seliniotikos Giros.There are also various other paths,3 nearby gorges to explore, leading to Omalos and places of unique beauty. Guest access The visitors have access to everything in the house except for the owners drawers on the first floor and the closet on the second floor (there are extra drawers and closets for the visitors).
