Ideal for holidays with dogs & hiking. The house is lovingly furnished in the French country house style and is well-equipped. Up to 6 persons, 2 dogs, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sauna, fireplace. The approx. 1700 m2 park garden is completely fenced up to 1.40 m. The cottage has been awarded 5 stars by the German Tourism Association. The house is lovingly furnished in the French country house style and is well-equipped. The approx. 1700 m² large garden is completely fenced and borders on fields and meadows. This place is ideal for nature holidays, hiking and holidays with dog. We have the house completely renovated in 2021. Since June 2021, we have been renting it out as a vacation home. The cottage (145 m2) is suitable for up to 6 people and has 3 bedrooms (3x box spring bed 180x200cm) with 3 bathrooms for 2 people each. The entrance area leads to the spacious living /fireplace room and the open kitchen. All three areas are on different levels separated by two steps. Spend romantic evenings by the fireplace with a wonderful view to the valley. Slightly elevated is the panoramic plain with an amazing view of nature and up to the Frankfurt skyline 80 km away. From here a patio door leads to the spacious covered outdoor seating. The country house kitchen with an unforgettable panoramic view and two inclining skylights is the highest point of the wonderful open space. From here you can access the cloakroom, further to the bedroom with French balcony and the tastefully decorated bathroom. The garden floor is also divided into different areas. In the east wing you enter a reading room, further into a romantic bedroom with a French metal bed and access to the terrace, as well as a bathroom with a bathtub. In the west wing there is a bedroom and a bathroom with shower as well as a Finnish sauna. From this bedroom you can reach the garden directly through a patio door. Fast wifi is at our guests' disposal for free. Just like the Finnish sauna where you can relax after an active day. Afterwards you can spend romantic evenings in the living room by the fireplace or the terrace with a distant view. Dogs are particularly welcome here! Do you want to rent a holiday home that is also suitable for your dog? Then you've come to the right place! We care that your loved ones feel comfortable with us and have a food bowl, dog bed, and dog towels available. We completely fenced and secured the garden with Festdrath fence up to the height of 140 cm. Location The cottage is located at the end of the weekend area Schotten-Betzenrod on the southern slope of the Vogelsberg, adjacent to fields and meadows. The fantastic panoramic view from the living room, kitchen and terrace, as well as the old trees in our park garden, make the house special. The hiking trails and mountain bike tours start right at the house and reward with countless distant views and panoramic views. You can also take a trip to the Hoherodskopf: many beautiful hiking routes start here, and you can also discover the summer toboggan run and climbing forest in winter skiing and especially cross-country skiing. The visit of the towns of Laubach, Lich, Grünberg, Schotten and Hungen is also worthwhile. The volcanic bike path and Südbahnradweg im Vogelsberg offer about 145 km of traffic-free bike paths, which have been expanded on old train lines. You can come back with the volcano Express – a shuttle bus with bike trailer. The nature reserve at Hoherodskopf is about 10 minutes away by car and another wonderful starting point for hikes and activities in the countryside, such as summer toboggan run, climbing park, mini golf and geocatching. The beautiful half-timbered town of Schotten offers three attractions: bird park - an animal park, volcanic room - a geological museum about the Vogelsberg and the Niddastauseee - a place for swimming and walking. Guest access You have the house and garden to yourself for your own use. Other things to note We charge the additional costs on site according to the actual expenditure based on the currently valid price of the electricity/gas suppliers.
